The Word On The Tweet - Transfer Deadline Day 3

Dempsey Updates:

Ian Taylor
‏@IanTaylor7
Thought so! #clintdempsey NO GO!! Has always wanted to go to Liverpool. #AVFC

Timothy Abraham ‏@TimothyAbraham
As reported Dempsey move unlikely despite bid as #LFC his first choice but #AVFC poised to move quickly if opportunity arises.

Others:

Timothy Abraham
‏@TimothyAbraham
Saint-Etienne's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is a new name to me in the #AVFC striker conundrum. Will investigate.

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick

Even Stephens: Villa make take-it-or-leave-it bid for Charlton's Dale Stephens & have another midfield option lined up Click Here

Timothy Abraham ‏@TimothyAbraham Villa transfer latest -Click Here

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Interesting to learn Jordan Bowery's dad Bert Bowery played under Brian Clough at Forest before moving to the North American Soccer League

Mat Kendrick‏@MatKendrick
Bony no: Villa made a tentative enquiry for Vitesse's Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony, but he won't be boosting the skeletal strikeforce

And on players Villa want to offload:

James Nursey
‏@JamesNursey
No sign of moves for outcasts Hutton or Warnock today yet. Saw them both training with #AVFC kids earlier!

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
It is entirely up to Lambert how he deals with Hutton/Warnock situation, but there may need to be a softening of his stance. There may not!

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
The out-of-favour full-backs were spotted training with the kids today, but Warnock has a year left and Hutton three on lucrative contracts

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Paul Lambert could be faced with reintegrating Alan Hutton & Stephen Warnock into the squad if there are still no enquiries for them by 11pm

Obviously Lambert wants rid of AH&SW but he was probably checking their attitude to see how they apply themselves... A poor reaction and holding a grudge will not get them into the team...
