Striker Set To Sign?

Striker Set To Sign?

It's being reported that Villa will secure the services of 21 year old Chesterfield striker Jordan Bowery for £500,000.

BBC Radio Sheffield say the deal will be completed on Thursday.

Seems a strange link as they list him as scoring 10 times in 83 appearances since making his debut at 17.

Gets stranger though as the Derbyshire Times suggests the deal is £1.2m, and Chesterfield's CEO Chris Turner has said he has heard a whisper of a deal, but no calls have taken place.

They also say he finished as last season's top scorer with 12 goals. His stats being, 17 goals in 102 appearances.

Another, 'one for the future'. This 'future' must be a swell place, a bit like the end of the rainbow.
