Turkish Penguin: I write this article because I have been puzzled by the reaction of some fans after the first 2 games of the season. Let me say that again, slowly and clearly....the FIRST....TWO.....GAMES.....of the season. While I understand that most supporters are on board with the new manager and his long-term plans for the club, we still have a following who Tweet/post before they think. Grizzly Villa: After Saturday's game much was made of the difference in quality between Villa and Everton; about our lack of depth, our poor tempo and about how well Everton had started the season after their valiant win against Manchester United. Not many commentators pointed out one quite glaringly obvious problem. In our starting eleven only three players can consider themselves to be sufficiently experienced at Premier League level -Given, N'Zogbia and Bent. Our four new players have no experience at this level and most importantly, of our entire back four only Clark and Baker have had a taste of top flight competition as academy graduates. Exclusive by Rob Bishop: If Charles N'Zogbia could turn back the clock, he would happily rewind 12 months - and do things completely differently. This time last year, the 26-year-old French defender was embarking on an exciting career with Villa following a high-profile transfer from Wigan Athletic. Unfortunately things didn't turn out as planned, and his debut season in claret and blue was largely disappointing as Villa struggled in the lower reaches of the Barclays Premier League. But he is determined it will be different this time around. Article: www.avfc.co.uk

Thought for the day: 'A man came home from work, sat down in his favourite chair, turned on the tv and said to his wife 'bring me a beer before it starts`. She looks puzzled but brings him a beer. He finishes it and says 'get me another beer, it is starting soon`... slightly annoyed she brings him another beer. When he finishes he says 'quick, another beer, it`s gonna start`........ 'THAT`S IT, she blows her top, 'you come in here, sit your fat arse down, demand beer, I`ve been working all day as well, how dare you....` The husband sighs... 'it`s started!`!`
