The club -- Villa -- doesn't seem to have the players. Until it does it's going to be more of the same. Can't believe the situation at Swansea, P2,W2,F8,A0. Would be interested to know when Villa last had stats like that? Laudrup is the man.

Swansea have built this up over a few years and now stepped up even more. According to ea sports, Bent had 19 touches last week. Only 1 player in the whole division had less...

444, If Bent isn't getting touches then his team mates aren't passing to him. It's a team game and the whole squad wins and loses together. Virtually, the entire squad -- minus four or five -- needs replacing. If it doesn't then the Sage of Wrexham (R. Savage) might turn out to be the Prophet of Wrexham.

Obviously VWRA. But my argument is that, if we had someone who was competent at the many other attackers duties other than tap ins, he would be a hell of a lot more usefull. It's maybe not his fault but we aren't good enough to have 1 player in his role who can't come deep, hold up, beat a defender etc. Savage can't be right, more like the village idiot of Wrexham.

444, I've never really rated Bent that highly. He was a panic buy. However, he's still a Villa player and his goals probably kept the club up last season. Savage tipped Villa to go down and on this evidence he might be right.

Two more from Thomas Ince, today. Hope someone at the Villa has the good sense to get in there asap. If they've even heard of him?
