Surely, with Gardner injured, Lambert will be bringing in another midfielder? A bit gutted Johnson has gone to Sunderland...

Not sorry about this really, always looked a bit 'raw' to me. I agree, would have liked Johnson at VP, but I bet his wages were fairly high.

Clive: very sensible word. Totally agree. I believe we now need 4 players after Gardners injury. I won't say who but it's clear that a striker or at least another attacking midfielder - ideally both - is needed. Another defender - Cresswell for the future...Shawcross anyone, still young and hungry and he bites!!! Sorry folks but I can't resist asking for Zaha and Rhodes.

Sorry, but I still can't get my head around this. You buy a player, play him twice, (two times if you can't speak English), pay him wages that are twice what he's worth, loan him out to two other clubs, for two years at least, then sell him on for tuppence halfpenny. There's obviously some sound commercial logic there that I'm 2 stoopid (sic) to understand!

He's played shayt whereever he's been so has driven down his value massively and unfortunately his contract is obviously watertight...we're screwed unless we take a massive hit so are clearly hoping he plays well at Rennes and they are impressed enough to pay something in the future....logic seems fine to me..all weighted in benefit of the footballer though :-(

Yep another waste of money from MON Winsforvilla, oh hold on people can't blame this on MON like any other deal that's gone wrong can they. The Hutton and and Jenas cockups were post MON too. Is this all Faulkner or ??. Money is being wasted and it's the fans money as Randy has just lent it to the club.

Christ V, ever thought of beong positve, just once? Yes Lerner is the devil, Bent is one of his minions along with MoN, Voldercleish and Faulkner...Jesus! I thought the manager named the player and the likes of Faulkner did the rest...? No, just Faulkner then!

Was commenting on Winsforvilla's post bill. Do you have aspirations of being a policeman or someone in charge?? I didn't mention Bent once. I'm a massive fan of MON. Faulkner wasn't here when MON first turned up, not in this role anyway, but some who will absolve Randy from all misgivings will try to blame MON for it all. I was very positive when MON was in charge and the players were giving him 100%. It's nice to walk around with a positive expression in the face of everything but I try to be realistic. We may win 5-0 this afternoon and then Lambert won't get any money to spend, and may not need it but is that realistic?? I'm still hopeful but you can't surmise everything.

What the hell has what I do for a living got to do with this. If you want to know you can ask Fear for my email and I'll tell you - I take it you mean I'm trying to police the site? You nearly always refer to Bent and only in the negative and you should know I find it a source of amusement and you do too - so chill. Yes MoN was good for two seasons - thereafter he was rubbish and let his ego take over. I agree we need serious investment in the team regardless of wins or losses. Also, I am deeply worried about our team this season and Lerner has to give this manager the money like he did MoN as PL is the right man - if he can take the lessons he's learnt and invest serious again then I think we'll improve - if he doesn't we could be screwed. Ps all the Police officers I know aren't controlling types just in case that's what you are alluding to.

CEO's and managers work to the bosses/owners budgets and wishes. It is that simple as far as I'm concerned.
