'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Duo On Home Debuts

Matthew Lowton and Brett Holman have both said how they are relishing their home debuts against Everton this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site Lowton firstly said.

'Villa Park is such a fantastic stadium. It will be a privilege to play for such a massive club, I was honoured when I got the phonecall to come and play for a team like this. Hopefully for the fans we can get off to a winning start at home with a good result against Everton.'

Following up, Holman added for himself.

'You play away and the atmosphere is great but to put on the home jersey and play in front of the home crowd is the ultimate feeling as a footballer. The fans have a big role to play, if we do the right things then hopefully it will be a good result.'

Bring it on! Everton will have a lull and be leaden whereas we will have the bit between our teeth. 3-2 Villa, Bent, Holman and Weiman. Jelavic x2 for theirs.

If that was the score I'd be happy. Wouldn't be bothered who scored koolbill.

Very tough first home game after last weeks no show. Got to keep on for full 90mins and create our own luck then I'm sure the chances will come. Would like to see us score with DB on the score sheet but to be honest I would take any of our players to score. Would be good to get points on the board. C'mon you lions!

It will all hinge on whether the players can find the bottle and nouse to provide the link from midfield to striker and striker to midfield - nowt wrong with a "one-two" from Benty to Nzo or Irleand or a nice lay-off. C'mon Bent, you can do it! I don't think Everton have a fast midfield at all. We have got to exploit that with lots of through balls and runs.
