Lawro v Mystic Mug - Villa v Everton

Lawro has told http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19326517 that Villa v Everton will end up in a 1-1 draw.

Lawro is one up on Mystic already, he predicted a West Ham Win (Mystic said Villa win)

On the Everton game he points to Everton`s 'impressive` win v Man Utd adding,

"Fellaini took most of the headlines but all of their outfield players were very, very good and ensured goalkeeper Tim Howard did not actually have that much to do. But I don't see them being able to impose themselves on this game in the same way. For a start, they have only won once at Villa Park in 25 years."

Blimey, I`d not realised we were that much of a bogey team v Everton, had you?

"As for Villa, well it is going to take time for Paul Lambert to turn things around there. The key to them having a decent season is Darren Bent staying fit and scoring goals. You could argue Villa need to add to their squad before the transfer window shuts next Friday but I am not sure they are a club that does much business anymore - the purse strings are very tight."

And on the fact we are light on players and Everton played so well against Man Utd, Mystic Mug is again disagreeing with Lawro and says 1-0 to Everton.

Shocking!

In my heart ,roared on by a 39000 crowd Bent & Holman to score in a 2-0 win . In my head, initially roared on by a 35000 crowd it ends in silence with a 0-0 draw or a 0-1 defeat

Lol billa. I suspect we'll be little over cavalier and lose 1-2. Current poll results interesting: everton rarely do as well away, esp at VP, yet most of us expect to lose and we're still generally happy: ongoing proof our problem with McLeish was style of play and nothing more. Come on you villans not villains!!!

I was hoping we'd have signed a striker before this match. If we play like we did against WHU and Everton fall to their VP 'curse' I think we could nick it or draw. I just hope we get something from this because I can't see us beating Newcastle next week. 2-1 Villa. Bent, Holman, Pienaar to get the goals.

I like the little dig by Lawro about us not being spenders anymore, its a hame he fails to mention all the rest of the prem teams etc who also have not spent much, Spurs Liverpool have they really spent anything of note?
clivethevillan
Agree Clive! 2-1 Bent double
AdzVilla11
Sorry Clive, other teams are spending massive amounts. Spuz are in the money losing Europa league and spending mega. Scousers have bought borini, Allen and the bloke from real is on his way on loan, to name a few. We've spent like a championship team on unheard ofs (who will hopefully turn out well, but.) As much as I hate Lawro and Spuz and Liverpool, I wish you weren't wrong. Just hoping for 20 mills worth of players in the next week. Maybe it was Randy who left things till the last day and not MON???
Villan444
Bent for King.
koolbill
Bent for Burgerking.....
Villan444
Joe Allen and Borini were combined 25 mil, Spuz have Adebayor, sigurrdson and Vertongen for 23 mil. Both so far.........
