Just a note to the press and some fans.....VILLANS Not Villains

Promo from official site: Lambert, speaking passionately at the fans forum, said: 'I need the crowd. I have always said that the most important people at any club are the fans and the players. 'If I can get them bouncing off each other, it will take off. 'You'll raise the roof with the noise. That's what I have to get, first and foremost.' Custard Cream: To be honest I`d planned on writing a match report after the Forest friendly. It was going to be a jovial affair, making fun of a game which despite having a sub-ten thousand attendance was delayed by fifthteen minutes because of crowd congestion. Oh, this could have been us in a few years if the McRelegator had got his way last season - but we`ve sorted it out now and we`re on our way back up, aren`t we? Full article: Time For Heroes

Bit of a strange on this. Is Darren Bent saying that Villa need to spend and bring in more strikers or is he just answering a press man asking what he thinks of the players we`ve been linked to? Full quotes: Darren Bent After Striker Competition!?

More signings or not? Not sure to he honest: Lambert Won't Be Rushed On Signings

Paul Lambert was pleased with our overall game today, but knows we have to improve further and convert our possession into more clear chances as the season progresses. Speaking to the Official Site after the 1-0 loss, Lambert admitted we lacked a cutting edge. 'I thought we started the game really well and for 30 minutes we were excellent. But you can have all the ball you want but you've got to score. Some of the play, I was really happy with and some, like anything, you're not. But I can't fault the lads for effort. We tried, but there wasn't much in the game. If we can just get a finishing touch on that then we'll be ok.' Full article: Lambert Reflects On Loss
