He's A Roncrete Training Partner
Andreas Weimann has revealed that his gym partner is Ron Vlaar, and he's pushing him all the way on the weights!
Speaking to the Official Site the Weeman said that both he and Vlaar are on the same weight's programme, so they've stuck together to spur each other on, and Andi now knows why our new centre half earnt his nickname.
'Everyone has a programme for the gym and we have the same one but we did an extra bit on Tuesday. Obviously he's a big guy so if I do it with him hopefully I'll get a bit bigger and stronger as well! I think they call him Concrete Ron don't they? You can see why! I have to take it a bit easy on the weights but he was lifting quite high.'
Given what we can tell of Vlaar's attitude and professionalism, in many ways he could be the perfect pseudo mentor for Weimann as he continues his development, knuckle down, work hard and practice the elements of the game that he needs to improve on, and he could really hit his expected potential.
