El Ahmadi On Debut & Fellaini's Hair

Karim El Ahmadi has said it was brilliant to finally turn out for Villa in a competitive match in the Premier League, but like everybody else, he was bitterly disappointed we got nothing from the game.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail following the West Ham game, our new midfielder said:

'For me it was very exciting, it felt good, but we had the chance to win there and we were not lucky. If only we could've won it, it would've been better but it was great to play in a Villa shirt in a competitive match.'

El Ahmadi rightly is looking forward to his all important debut though, Villa Park:

'I'm looking forward to it, hopefully we can get some points against Everton.'

With Everton up next at the weekend, KEA has the chance to renew a brief friendship he had with Fellaini when they both turned out for the Moroccan youth team. Although he concedes that whilst Fellaini was a big boy back then, he has obviously paid a lot of attention to his hair since:

'I would have been 20 and he was a little younger. He was big back then - but he didn't have such big hair, he's grown that!'

Can't believe I've got through a whole article and not typed Fellaini the way I normally do...impressive!

Fellanai was unpalyable on Monday night, indeed Everton were brilliant, then again any team that takes points of manure is a hit in my book. Hope Everton do not repeat hat display on Saturday, if they do I think they will get max points. COTVABU

I'm not qualified to talk about hair, that is all, good day to you sirs.
The Fear
Everton have had a good pre-season without any major injuries, good team and work hard for each other ..... it's how we should become under Lambert. On saturday we will have to up the game to compete with them, hopefully all the whinging idiots around the stands will fulfill their part in the AVFC/Lambert revolution and shout their hearts out to keep the boys on the field up for it !!!

Everton are always amazing again manure, but they are a good team which is a danger. But I predict a win for the villa.
Avfc94 we do
why is everyone talking Everton up because they beat a United side on the opening game of the season that played two midfielders in their defence at home? Southampton nearly beat Man City (at the Etihad!) - Lets see Everton in 3 months, if they're in 4th place will eat my words..... they have lost Arteta and Cahill remember....
