Villa Looking To Offload Warnock For Olsson?

Villa Looking To Offload Warnock For Olsson?

I tell you what, I think the debt problems and the silly prices has finally hit the clubs. It isn`t just Villa (as some know, I run the whole Vital footie network) the lack of quality transfer talk is very noticeable.

Maybe sense will slowly return to football and then clubs like ours will start to stand half a chance again. Or am I dreaming?! Talking about dreams, no, I`d best not, lets just say Cheryl was very hot....

I digress...

The Mirror have a decent link here... They say Villa are set to bid £2.5 AND Stephen Warnock to get Martin Olsson from Blackburn Rovers.

Forum thread: Villa Linked To Martin Olsson

Stoke are also interested in the Sweden international left-back Olsson who handed in a transfer request once Blackburn were relegated.

I guess the question is would Warnock be prepared to drop a division?

He obviously is not in Lamberts plans but................

Apparently Sunderland are still interested in Warnock who is in the last year of his contract. One would imagine he could leave for virtually nothing. Yet more of Randy`s money wasted (as he cost around £8million from Blackburn).

The Mirror also say that Jean Makoun will now join Bordeaux on a season-long loan. He was linked to Rennes last week if you remember.

And again, more of Randy`s dosh gone. He cost £6m ish.

Warnock been unfairly treated IMO. He made a couple of mistakes but has alot of experience, something we're lacking at the moment. Defence or not he was quality on the wing for us.

Olsson, yes please, though would like the Olsson from WBA too. Skysports news app reckon Sunderland are after: M Olsson, Fletcher, Zaha, Johnson...any of the above for us? Zaha and Olsson are my pick.

You been watching BB JF? Cos Cheryl Fergison isn't what I'd call hot, but I suppose you're being realistic on where your level is :-)

I'd not have dumped him in the way he has been dumped, saw on opta that he made amongst the most interceptions last season. However, there might be 'other' reasons for removing certain players from contention I guess?

Warnock has been unfairly treated. He was shocking last season. I can't criticize his work ethic but his play was just awful at times. Mind you, he scored a lovely cushioned header in the QPR game. Just a shame it went in our net. Sell sell sell sell and er... sell. In fact, if we can't sell him and Hutton just try and get them to agree to a mutual dissolution of contract so we can get their wages off the books.

Olsson is wanted by MoN in todays Sun instead of Warnock so its going to be a battle to get him here as Sunderland are going to do what we did when MoN was here allow him to sign players on silly wages which we can not do antmore so looks like we will miss out on him

i agree with leelindsy. The thing Warock was most guilty of was trying. If he'd done what others did and just disappeared in games he would have received a lot less abuse because wouldn't have put himself in the firing line. That said clearly PL doesn't rate him so the sooner he gets a move the better.
