The League Cup, should never have been sponsered. The Capital One Cup sounds awful!! So too did the Milk, Rumbelows, Carling Cup etc. Or am I just to old fashioned?
scoops
Scoops you old fart :o) Lets hope that PL takes it more seriously for us than he did with Norwich. They were beaten 4 0 at home by Wycombe last season if my memory serves me right.

Can't ask for more than a home draw in any cup competition,so lets hope. I think circumstances were different for PL last season voth. I think his main concern at the time was Premiership survival so he probably put out a much weakened team. At Villa - depending on the draw - and who the likes of Manure, Citeh, Arsenal Chelski select, we have a fair chance of winning this.
Pride of Lions
Scoops if you're old fashioned so am I. I am also far more opposed to the Uefa "We finished 4th in our League, League". Also to paraphrase Half Man Half Biscuit "Will they ever bring back the Watney Cup?". Really showing my age now but they were relatively innocent and enjoyable times when the emphasis was on football and not mercenary millionaires with an inflated sense of importance and not Brand Beckham.

League Cup against Tranmere? Let's hope Bosnich is in goal, just in case it goes to pens... (apologies to any young whippersnappers who haven't got a clue what I'm on about)

Cheers holte ender, still get goosebumps watching this now. What a great day out at Wembley after. Let's hope we can get back some of that for our younger generation.

Should be a good game. Evening kick off as well, sun going down and lights on with a few beers thrown in. Looking forward to it already. Maybe a couple of jars in the Holte Pub after if anyone fancies it.
