Dunne Linked With A Villa Park Exit

The Daily Star have one I like today!

They say that Stoke City want to buy Richard Dunne.

They claim he would be allowed to leave if they can get £3million for the former Manchester City defender.

Dunne, who is out for 6-8 weeks following a groin operation (see: Agbonlahor & Dunne To Miss Start Of Season ) said recently the buzz is back at Villa. (Richard Dunne Says The Buzz Is Back)

Personally, I`d give rather he was on the bus out of Villa! I have no respect whatsoever for the way he and Collins behaved for Villa in the last two seasons, we don`t need people like that at the club.

Our latest poll asks if you`d sell Dunne or not?!

Hope this is true, get rid of the old guard and start again.
The Fear
I'd drive him out of VP myself 100% Can't guess whose vote that was hey Mr Fear?

How likely is it that a club like Stoke will buy an injured player? I know we did with Downing but Dunne? Like the Hutton story to the same club, I have my doubts. Plus if true, whatever you may think of him, we have almost no cover.

I'd be laughing if stoke offered 5mil for Dunne & Hutton.
RWilts
Well, at least the fans will have the chance to see if the defence improves in his absence.

Now don't get me wrong I would happily have solid premiership class replacements for both Hutton and Dunne but we haven't. They are both internationals and could still do a job with the right management- which I think we have now got. Last 2 friendlies ( yes I know just friendlies!) and we have let in 6 goals and looked shaky at the back. If we don't line up good replacements we will struggle- we are lightweight at the back
Villasven
We can't afford to let Dunne go unless we have a good replacement.

I like this one too, honestly would rather have sent him packing over Collins (but both gone would be even better) but would rather let Hutton go. As many have said, he'll slot in nicely into the studs-up policy they have at Stoke.

Richard Dunne ate my hamster :(

Ozzy and Sharon ate mine!!! and Freddie Starr!!! seriously tho...we do need another CD and a striker to help Bent...I said it before, seasons gone, that we needed a back-up / partner for Bent or we are screwed when he's injured. Let'sdo it!

I'm sue PL has someone in mind before he'd let Dunne go. It would release funds and reduce the wage bill, plus we'd have abetter CB I'm sure.
Pride of Lions
I'm so excited.

I volunteer to drive. Would rather see Baker play than Dunne so he's 4th choice for me, on huge money and a bad influence. Sure the money could be used to find a better replacement.
AVbornandbred
I feel the time is right for him to go. Such a shame it's ended a bit sour as on his day he was immense for us (which were quite often in his first 2 seasons). Not sure what's gone wrong, but he changed since GH.

My hamster looks scared.

Strange based on performance the only defender I would have kept was Collins although not impressed with his off the field antics.Instead the other three are still here and hes gone.Totally agree with AVb&b on Baker instead of Dunne as back up.
