Marshall Reveals Coaching Ambitions

Most will know Andy Marshall is involved in a goalkeeping Academy that helps youngsters, but he has revealed that coaching will be his ideal career progression when he hangs up his gloves.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Marshall said he was loving his coaching role alongside Tony Gennoe at the club, but he's still ready to don the jersey for the first team if ever required:

'The coaching is something I enjoy and I helped the club out quite a lot last year with it. With the first team affairs, with the young boys and everything and it's something that eventually I want to go into when I hang up my gloves. Getting opportunities are few and far between but I enjoy being part of a club like this.'

Many of us have thought for a long time that maybe Marshall was being groomed for a future goalie coaching role, and that seems to have come to fruition now.

Although he does add it'll probably be another 12 months before anyone sees him in the first team again though.

That's nice of Andy Marshall - what he says about enjoying being part of a club like this.... Respect Andy, and good luck with your coaching.
