Marc Albrighton Misses Start Of The Season

Marc Albrighton Misses Start Of The Season

Villa have confirmed the rumour is correct, Marc Albrighton has a broken metatarsal which he picked up in the first week of pre-season training and will miss six to eight weeks of the new Premiership season.

Strange how it took so long for this news to break, it was being whispered.

The 22-year-old winger, who has no luck at all these days, will be keeping Gabby Agbonlahor (knee, out for around a month) and Richard Dunne (groin, out for around 6 weeks) company on the treatment tables as both also miss the start of the season as we reported a few weeks back.

Well, he'll miss all of pre-season and playing catch-up is notoriously difficult. I can see another season of struggle for Albrighton and I'm not sure how many more of these he can get away with. His crossing and passing last year was hard to watch. I really feel worried for him now.
