Transfer Talk Including Hutton Looking At Exit

Matt Kendrick at The Birmingham Mail has some quotes from Paul Lambert about 27-year-old right-back Alan Hutton.

Having been left out of the USA tour and Nottingham Forest friendly, it is clear he is on his way out:

"He`s shown a good attitude in training so there are no qualms on that front. I spoke to Alan before we went to America and it is the same as before. Nothing has changed really. He is training with the first team and doing everything right. I have no problem with Alan whatsoever and he knows that because I had a chat with him. There have been no inquiries for Alan - not at the minute."

Hopefully he gets sorted soon, not a nice situation for the player either.

www.thesun.co.uk repeats the link, which looks a bit spurious to me, to Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan who has been told he can leave Schalke he can leave for around £2.5m. See: Anthony Annan Next One In?

Feel a bit sorry for Hutton. Lambert didn't even have time to look at him before ditching him from the US tour.

Hutton has never really proved himself in the premier league, maybe return back to scoland is best for him, as for Annan £2.5mllion is a bargain if Lamb wants him that is, he was rated between £8/10 million whilst he played for Rosenberg a few years ago.

I also feel a bit for him, and I hope he finds a club soon. It's not like he never tried for us. I think he'd do fine at a Championship club or even a smaller PL team. Sooner something is done the better for both parties, especially if it's a case of 1 out, 1 in for us.

hes a terrible terrible player lol. i think he would struggle if he resigned for rangers! imagine if he'd signed for man utd for £10m all those years ago haha

Agree AVbornandbred, Prepared said the same in the forum, surprised he's not had any games, but I must admit, I wasn't impressed last season, think some of his tackles were woeful.

I genuinely thought Hutton was a decent player when he first signed for us... He managed to play a few champions league games for spurs... Then slowly but surely his lack of quality showed... His performance against WBA and the Arse showed what he is really like an average defender with discipline issues...

Express n star claiming Villa Spuds and Sunderland are interested in snapping up Aruna Kone who plays for Levante in Spain, from the bits ive watched on Sky in the spanish league he is a quick striker who knows where the goal is, decent player.

just for clarity, I don't rate Hutton as a player (although he did put in more effort than some last year). I was only commenting on the way it has been handled.
