Agbonlahor & Dunne To Miss Start Of Season

Well, we had good news today with Vlaar coming, Collins going but now for some bad news!

Gabby Agbonlahor will be out for four to five weeks after the knee injury (medial ligament damage in case you were wondering) he picked up in a nasty tackle from a Chicago Fire player.

He gets no luck at all injury wise does he?

Surely we`ll now have to invest in another striker? If (Paul McGrath forbid) Bent picked up another knock as well, we`d straight away be down to the bare bones.

Richard Dunne will also be out for the start of the season. The official site says he`s had a groin operation and will sidelined for 6-8 weeks.

Another defender needed incoming following the exit of Collins or are the youth players ready to step up? Ciaran Clark looks the business to me!

Nice squad building but it is still thin isn`t it? Squad: Click Here

its less than 6-8 weeks to the end of the transfer window so the donkey stays I would say - and unfortunately in January hes too close to his free agent status - lets start with Vlaar plus Clark/Baker and hope we dont need to play him this season. I neve want to see another tackle like the one that gave Spurs a penalty at the end of last season (and could have put us down were it not for the Archangel Albion)

We definately need a striker in by this time next week..... it's getting more urgent.

Would like to see Defoe at villa but not on loan

Agree with all of the above in regards to needing a new striker, but I think we need someone who can play the same role as Bent in case he gets injured. Play on the shoulder and doesn't just rely on pace or drop back into midfield. I'm thinking signing for a tactical purpose squad wise not just another striker.

I reckon Cresswellwill be signed sharpish and Clarke will step up too. WE have no chance of getting Dempsey but I'd love it...Now, I'd like to see Rhodes bought in along with Shane Long - Long doesn't have the wow-factor but that can work to our advantage. Not sure that we could pinch Odemwingie as he is well hyped and possibly sulky. Knowing Lambert, he will act swift and surprise us all with his decision.

Personally I'd like to see a bigger striker to give us more options and something different to what we already have. Very convenient injury for Dunne that will prevent us from moving him on.

Bad news???

I'm sure PL is fully aware of whats needed for our attacking options and we will probably sign someone completly off radar, all our signings to date look excellent value.... over to you PL.
