Randy Lerner has released a statement with reference to rumours that he is selling his NFL team The Cleveland Browns... Lerner`s statement: Cleveland Browns For Sale Or Just Invested In?

I get a bit bored of this. Do they want the other three stands worth of fans to just not bother turning up? The Holte End has been a flop for the last few seasons, if they don`t sing sh*t on the city, they don`t sing full stop. And yet you would think it is the only stand at Villa Park. I sit in the Trinity and make as much noise as possible, fair enough, it isn`t the noisiest stand, but it is full of loyal, passionate fans. But you have to doff your cap to the North Stand, especially Lower, they are the smaller group but they are the ones who have tried to make the noise over the last few seasons in the absense of the Holte End boys. Matt Lowton has said the US tour was perfect for him as he got to know the team better, and he says everybody is buying into Paul Lambert's plans for the club. Speaking to the Official Site after the players returned to England, Lowton said the US tour had been brilliant for him as it allowed him to get to know his new colleagues properly and he now feels fully settled in at the club. Samir Carruthers is clearly quite a grounded player, having scored the final penalty against Portland he said 'I take them everyday in training.' Quite a fantastic attitude really, you've got a crowd dancing away, you've got some nutter with a chainsaw going on in the background, and Samir still had the stones to step up and finish in style. May only have been a friendly, so the pressure wouldn't have been the same, but the attitude is spot on. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the youngster said: Carruthers Speaks On Penalty Success

By Dan Harrison .. Brett Holman is relishing his Villa link-up with Karim El Ahmadi - having watched the midfield maestro flourish in the Dutch league over the past few seasons. Full article: www.avfc.co.uk

By Paul Brown: Paul Lambert has been handed the ultimate endorsement - from Hollywood megastar Tom Hanks. Hanks attended the Portland v Villa match, his first claret and blue encounter since admitting his support some years ago. And the leading actor from Big, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile and Toy Story revealed he had been swatting up on the club in recent times, with help from this, our official website. twitter: James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey Oh, and the other #AVFC goss, is forget any chat of Villa signing Danny Simpson from #NUFC. It's rubbish. Lowton will be Villa's right back

The end to some silly speculation that Brad Guzan had been leant to MLS team Chivas: Brad Guzan 100% NOT Sent Out On Loan

Very little in the way of wild rumours surrounding players in and out of Villa at the moment! Randy, as you know by now, is selling a majority stake in the Browns. That won't have an impact on our balance sheet though, that is his money! Other than that: A Drought On Villa Transfer Gossip!

Not really that much of interest to us I don`t think (?) but Richard Dunne is considering international retirement.
