'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Couple Of On The Tweet Transfer Rumours For Villa

Just a couple of new snippets I`ve noticed from our transfer forum thread: www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk

Here's a new one excuse the poor grammar it's from Twitter.......EdwardVanCuilenborg @ Feyenoord Channel
# Guidetti was spotted in Birmingham. Immediately there is a rumor that he, like # Vlaar and El # Ahmadi , Villa player is.

And also apparently 'Defoe to Villa rumours abound on twitter at the moment.`

Not seen anything on Defoe. Must admit, if he was the right price and right wages, I`d take him, he knows where the back of the net is.

As for Guidetti. Wiki says:

John Alberto Guidetti (Italian pronunciation: [ɡwiˈdetti]) (born 15 April 1992) is a Swedish footballer who plays for Manchester City as a striker.

Ronald Koeman, who worked with Guidetti at Feyenoord and with Zlatan Ibrahimović at Ajax, said that Guidetti can be as good as Ibrahimović in the future.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Guidetti

Remember, these are just rumours!

Guiedetti is a real prospect it would be a coup if we got him, as for Defoe yep i would also take him, he has had injuries but a goalscorer for 5million if rumours have any truth to them would be a bargain, Defoe/Guiedetti Bent, Gabby, Weimannan Delfounseo goals there, would just need a left back another central midfielder and an attacking winger or creative player then we would mean buisness and push aside Newcastle for the top 7 plaices alright ;) UTV!

I'm enjoying this transfer window like no other ... go on PL sign them both !!!!

Defoe leaving would leave Spurs with no strikers, his wages are too high for Villa and he didnt work with Bent at spurs so why would he now? I think its jusr a bit of gossip thats picked up momentum with Twitter. I have learnt its not a grat place to follow as plenty of chat but not much is genuiune ITK. Gary Hooper also mentioned on there a lot for Villa!
Chelt Villan
Tasty rumours indeed.

I think Defoe would only want to go to a London team if he were to go at all.
juddy
Defoe won't happen as clearly doesn't fit the PL mould of non-travelling overhyped players. He wants better. I checked on transfermarkt.co.uk - correct spelling - and the boy Guidetti has fine early stats but Man City have not developed him and he may not be what we need NOW. FUnny thing is, AVFC are a better prospect for players now without having played one game in the new season - just down to the vibe PL has injected without signing overpaid NAMES. Bring me Cresswell and a surprise please.

Agree with all the above posts....so exciting to see that we're finally looking to be imaginative in the transfer market!
MrZeus
Guidetti would be very nice.... BOUGHT, not loaned.......
Pride of Lions
I wanted Defoe 5 years ago but that was 5 years ago...
AdzVilla11
I also wanted Defoe 5 years ago or Bent. We got Bent so we don't need Defoe , a nice big striker like Carroll or even Fletcher would do for me

Hear hear (or is that here)
Aussie Villain
just read the wiki thing on Guidetti, 20 goals in 23 games for Feyenoord. Wow, yes please!
The Fear
Where where?! ;-p

Is Vlaar in for medical today? really hope we can get some confirmation, also hope lambert is still out there looking for more (Cresswell maybe?), another striker PLEASE! Guidetti would be great signing!
MAT7_AVFC
Just read on the Beeb that the Wolves are waiting on us to see if we will 'firm up ' on our interest for Fletcher before replying to Sunderland .

Defoe would be a good addition. Offers a different dimension than Gabby.

It all sounds very good if all true, best transfer window for a long time............

Defoe and bent are way too similar to play together. Defoe is better though. Can shoot from distance, take more than 1 touch etc. He will never leave London due to his lifestyle though. Lazy journo's....
Villan444
Yeah Villas Boas recently said Defoe will not be allowed toleave as Defoe wanted out reports were saying, so maybe its a case of cos Redknapps gone Defoe wants a fresh start but he may want to stay in London and im guessing QPR or West Spam?
CLIVETHEVILLAN
Yep, Defoe is better cos he scores LESS. No way. Bent is better. Defoe would work for a stop gap but we need to keep the big time charlies out. Younger and hungrier please.
koolbill
So so
Aussie Villain
Lol bill. You'll never get it mate. Defoe isn't a passenger in the team. He created his own chances, sets up other players and isn't useless everywhere except the 6 yard box. I wish this myth about bent was slightly true. He just isn't that good.
Villan444
Great to see these new signings comming in but think we may need to unload a couple before we see many more, dont want to come up against more wage bill trouble in the future.
