Lowton Settles In & Buying Into Lambert's Plans

Matt Lowton has said the US tour was perfect for him as he got to know the team better, and he says everybody is buying into Paul Lambert's plans for the club.

Speaking to the Official Site after the players returned to England, Lowton said the US tour had been brilliant for him as it allowed him to get to know his new colleagues properly and he now feels fully settled in at the club.

'It's been a great tour, it's given me chance to bond with the lads and get used to how the gaffer wants to play. I've enjoyed every minute of it, the lads have been fantastic and they've really helped me settle in.'

As for the Lambert Plan, Lowton says that the players are all buying into it, and are enjoying the training sessions which aren't all just running.

'We need that winning mentality throughout the season, the manager has got a plan and we're buying into it, definitely. In training and the game you can see the tempo and the passing, some of the moves we're doing are unbelievable.'

Definitely been a good start to Paul's reign, and the change in style from the team has been a joy to see. Long way to go yet and of course friendlies won't mean much compared to Premiership opposition, but isn't it nice to see a happy camp for a change!

Matt seems to be settling in quite nicely. Early days of course, but I think he'll be Ok at EPL level.

Not sure I am totally comfortable with players being happy and the thought of a goal scoring full back is a little difficult to comprehend. Can we get the previous manager back as I am missing having anything to moan at!!
