We signed off earlier this morning with a 5-4 victory over Portland Timbers taking a 100% record with us from the States, and Paul Lambert said he was proud of the team for their efforts. Speaking to the Official Site Lambert said he did have issues with our overall performance against Timbers, but on balance he was very pleased with the application of the players whilst on tour: Lambert Proud Of US Tour Efforts

I`ll be straight up and honest - I don`t know much about the players we saw at Worcester on Tuesday night. There was a time I would have - I`d have know my Issac Nkubi and David Curtolo from my Daniel Devine and Mason Watkins-Clark. Despite that, the promise of going to watch Villa play on a hot summer evening after work was a good one - so of I went to St. Georges Lane to take in Aston Villa`s 'Development Squad` against the first team of Worcester City, who are in the Blue Square North league.
