James Collins To Hammers? Snodgrass No Go..!

The Sun have a snippet today saying that West Ham want James Collins back and are prepared to pay 2million.

Pretty sure if Villa got a 2m bid, they`d accept it.

Not worth linking, there really is no flesh on the bone.

Oh and a player linked to us a few times, Robert Snodgrass has moved to Norwich. Phew!

The Daily Star is linking Villa, Newcastle and West Ham with Reading`s midfielder Jem Karacan.

Do we need any more midfielders?

Apparently his contract talks with Reading have stalled.

I missed this one but it is in our transfer talk forum thread . Apparently we are after 19-year-old Portsmouth winger Ryan Williams.

One bit of hopeful good news and one definate bit of good news then.........

That's 2m towards the Vlaar deal if it ever happens.

If Snodgrass has gone to Norwich, does that make Howson to us more likely? However as you say, do we need any more midfielders? Seems like we are a couple of defenders light and maybe a striker now. Simply relying on Bent would seem to be a mistake and whilst I like Weimann I'm not sure he is ready to carry the burden alone if Gabby is out for some time and Bent breaks down.

2 Million for Collins and 50k week of the books as speculted he is on here thats good news heis not worth nowhere near that even in the fantasy football realm, Vlaar, Ramis, Kjaer who is availableon a free, Demidov, Tasci there are many good younger european players to replace with for cheaper wages and better than him who are more mobile and ot as clumsey, nodgrass i am kinda happy deepdown although i did say i would be ok with us signing him he doesnot have enough pace to trouble defenders, hope we get theis Creswell kid signed though he sounds a real prospect then we can offload another timewaister Warnock and save ourselves 50k week again Randy must be very happy with Lambert lol UTV!

As far as midfielde goes i still wul like another bi central midfielder like a Jon Obi Mikel type player i know we now have El Ahmadi but if he gets injured or suspended we need a replacement to win them balls back
ClivetheVillan
As far as Midfielders go we could do with a winger...
CDX_EIRE
CDX we have Holman N'Zogbia Albrightin Carruthers i would prefer another strong holding midfielder to allow Ireland and Gardner to create chances or even Bannan, if El Ahmadi gets injured we don't really have a presence in the midfield area to win the ball back as Stan used too for us, for me a left back, Centre back, Central Midfielder and another striker like Kenwyne Jones or similar tall and big build.
ClivetheVillan
Agreed CtV! We need a complete overhaul of the defense (ie. Warnock, Collins, Hutton). And another striker.

We need pl to assess the current lot and decide what is needed. For some reason he appears to talk and do sense.
