Lambert's The Perfect Manager

Barry Bannan has said that Paul Lambert's tactics and belief in a passing game suits him down to the ground.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Bannan said that he especially was loving life at the minute in training because of what Lambert is attempting to do for the team, and he thinks that fans can already see the difference and the confidence in the team from the way we are playing.

'I'm definitely enjoying myself and feel I've been playing quite well. I think a lot of that's down to the position I'm playing now, and the players around me have been playing very well too. The system suits my game perfectly really, getting the ball and trying to make things happen. You can see the gaffer has instilled into the players that everyone has to be comfortable on the ball, these first games I think everyone has done that and we've kept a lot of possession.'

Bannan also talked about the spirit in the camp now, and said that the dressing room was more united than he's ever seen it during his time with the first team. Commenting that there were no 'rifts' probably backs up a lot of what fans have thought in terms of the dressing room being split over the previous few seasons, and whilst the proof will be in the pudding when it comes to spirit and going on a bad run of results, at least it's looking good at the moment.

I still have my reserations on Bannan making it as a PL player, but it's certainly not doing him any harm ATM. Confidence in the squad is growing, things are going well, but the EPL is a different kettle of fish.
