Ron Vlaar Move Off?

Ron Vlaar Move Off?

Ron Vlaar has commented that his chance to move to Villa Park is not as likely as he first thought, as Feyenoord's press machine continue to try and force our hand.

Speaking to Sky Sports with all the talk of Monday deadlines and the like coming from Holland, Vlaar himself is quoted as saying:

'Feyenoord is in my heart and I have been through a lot here. I think the chance I will move to Aston Villa is not so big anymore. I don't want to be kept on a leash, so transfer is off for now.'

Given Feyenoord wish to imply that we haven't opened negotiations yet a transfer has never really been on technically, but Koeman's threat to not involve him in friendlies obviously will worry the player, but quite why this is being dragged out in the press and hyped is beyond me.

Are Feyenoord incapable of continuing to operate without opening their mouths, until we actually make an offer which presumably would be at his release fee level?

Seems a bit silly. When he was being shown around VP, surely someone must of told him "Look Ron, we're off to the US tomorrow for 3 friendlies, so nothing will happen unti we get back in about 10 days ok?" Or is that too simple?

Vlaar's comments about wanting to come here were pleasing but foolish really. Feyenoord's comments are irritating and unnecessary too. But to be fair, I remember how irritated we were when the talk suurounding our captain Barry was going on and on and we all said we just wanted a decision and get it over with so we could move on - and that was before City actually made an offer too. He's there captain and a talisman for them. I don't think we've done any wrong, but I see their point of view

Well after listening to what PL said RE: Vlaar, don't reckon that the "chat" that they had was as positive as the Feyenoord captain thought!!!!
