Confidence Is King For Lambert

Confidence Is King For Lambert

Paul Lambert has said the confidence in the camp is getting better and better following our victory over Chicago Fire last night/earlier today/the bit before I went to bed.

Speaking to the Official Site Lambert again talked about confidence, a winning mentality, and how impressed he was with the effort and determination of the team to take on board his instructions and act on them.

'It was a really difficult game because of the heat and against a team which is pretty decent. The crowd were up for it as well. But I thought we played well. I think the confidence we're getting is getting better and better and I'm really happy with the way we played. Some of the football was excellent.'

A key point is, despite only being friendlies, we have now kept two clean sheets and we haven't conceded from a corner :-)

Oh how quickly things change eh.

For those who saw the game, there's not much I can add, but for those who didn't AVTV should have highlights up now, but the Forum Thread would probably make an interesting read if any of our sleepy ramblings made any sense last night. They did at the point I can assure you, but I'm not sure what I'll understand in the cold light of day.

I'm sure it's only two clean sheets?

Couldn't agree more with our venerable leader once again!! Starting to think that Eck was a pantomime Villan and made awful gaffs on purpose. Could the 2 be more different??

Correct DM, was going to say three wins but changed the sentence, and the OS has it wrong as well on checking. Burton got the goal.

Yes, they are only friendlies, but any win is bound to give you confidence, so confidence must be growing.
