Villa Beat Fire, Gabby Update

My goodnight message to you all, and I'll wrap all this up tomorrow when I can think straight and type without correcting every other word.

Villa beat Chicago Fire following a 29 minute goal from Gabby Agbonlahor - that is the spelling despite how many times he was called various other things by the American commentators tonight :-) Can I just clarify also that Samir Carruthers joined from Arsenal thinking we were a better proposition and not Man Utd. The list is endless, I'll leave it there - they did their best with the research they were presented with!

Team details and bookings (head's up Herc, Delph was carded! The Hall of Maim lives on!) I'll sort tomorrow.

But after being stretchered off, the Club's official Twitter feed (so I assume Paul), has confirmed that Gabby's injury is not as bad as first thought and he will only be out for the next fortnight.

I'm sure everyone will agree given his commitment in pre season so far and especially his performance tonight, he's lost the hands on hips response to things not working out, when it doesn't work, he'll get that bloody round thing back and push on and that's exactly what we want from him.

Overall, Ireland pushes close, and a few others are in the frame, but I'd be surprised if most fans MotM wasn't Gabby, and not just for the goal.

Get well soon son, and keep that up.

Gabby Ireland N'Zogbia this is massive seasos for them, if Lambert can get these three firing for us as he did Pilkington Holt etc at Nozza then we should be in for some fun, good to see Gabby scoring shame about the injury but he has time to get fit, o what was the style of play like did we knock it about a bit as we have done previousley?

Those commentators were hilarious they made my night...
CDX_EIRE
Ireland ran a marathon on that pitch last night, his effort was fantastic.

Really enjoyed the game last night, for whoever didn't watch it let me assure you this is a different Villa side to last season...The ball is played on the floor, their passing, there's a lot of movement, we easily keeping the ball, our defence is higher up and it just all looks very slick. The goal was fantastic aswell, great play...The only negative was that i want to see more from N'Zogbia still, Delph was pretty good aswell.

Have to agree P.Avfc, nice to see some football, and I loved the commentary last night, would prefer those two to some of the idiots we have to put up with : ) They were funny!
