Pre Chicago Fire Stuff

Pre Chicago Fire Stuff

The pre match press conference, and some photos.

Not a lot about today, but now I've worked out which day we are actually playing Chicago Fire on, there's some interesting bits around leading up the match.

In the pre match press conference Paul Lambert continues to talk about the heat being an issue for the players, and how pleased Brad Guzan and Eric Lichaj are at returning to Chicago.

Whilst obviously talking about the Fire being another test for us this early into preparations, Lambert does make a point of saying he's very pleased that we are performing so well at the moment and that the players are taking in what he wants us to do in terms of style of football, tactics and ultimately developing a winning attitude towards games.

In goalkeeping news, he says that whoever is in the best form will start the season, so at least on the face of it, he is going to be picking the team based on merit and not what your name is.

Click Here for the photo gallery of training ahead of the game, and an autograph/Q&A session held with a selection of fans.

Obviously for subscribers and season ticket holders, AVTV has a host of videos from the PR stuff the club are doing in the States and Sir Ian of Taylor figures in a couple of them.

Does anyone know if the streams coming from the Chicago sites are free? I'd rather find out now than 1.30 in the morning when I should be a little worse for wear.
