No Worries With Hutton

Paul Lambert has said Alan Hutton understands his omission from the Stateside squad after playing at Burton.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Lambert said:

'This is just the squad I've decided to go with. I spoke to Alan the other week and he played fine on Saturday, so no worries whatsoever. To be fair he was ok with that, he worked hard in the game so there's no adverse feeling there.'

Doesn't take a genius to think that Hutton won't be with us for much longer does it.

I have been waiting to here this, everything I have read said Lambert on Vlaar and Hutton ommission but only ever talked about Vlaar. I thought I was going crazy as Hutton never got mentioned. I had no idea why we signed Hutton when we did as funds were limited and of all the positions a RB was probably the nbest covered!

I had full faith in the previous manager and it is a shame that this excellent signing probably isn't going to work out.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a little harsh? Ok he didnt have the best of start, and is a bit irrational in the tackle (a bit..) but he did show some decent form at the end of last season, and if he does go, then we are left with lichaj and herd at RB, who both havent even really had a full season in the first team.

I actually agree with you surprisingly luxuryvilla24. But am happy that we now have Lichaj, Lowton and Herd (if needed) for the postion. But PL has had a look, obviously talked to people in the game and decided he is not needed. Thats good enough for me.

i have to say i am seriously gutted and have to question this clubs ambition in the transfer market??? i thought he showed great promise and to loose him is a real shock to the system, he was so instrumental last season in our dynamic defensive performances. i cant believe we are gonaa get rid of him and have signed a full back who likes to go forward and score goals. disgraceful ;) UTV
