'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Official Confirmation, Brad Guzan Re-signs

Well, we figured from USA Tour Squad

However, there is now official confirmation, Brad Guzan has signed a new three year deal at Villa.

www.avfc.co.uk quote Paul Lambert:

'I've watched Brad and some of his games when he was in the team last year and he was excellent. I know he's always had that stigma of being the No.2 behind some really good goalkeepers here. But when you come back at the start of the season nobody knows what's going to happen and it depends on whoever does well."

He also says that he thought Guzan was unlucky to play well last season and then find himself dropped.

Amen to that, what ever happened to earning your place and being able to keep it?!

Nice to have that one sorted.

Hey, he can grow the beard if he wants as long as he plays as well as some of the legendary beards of the past - John Robson, Dennis Mortimer, Olof Mellberg, errrr Trevor Hockey?? :)

Welcome back Brad, im really happy he has rejoined us he was robbed of a starting plaice IMO after some of his performances last season, Lambert is spot on he was awesome as the Americans would say lol for us, great freebie so for a total of approx £8/9million we could have El Ahmadi Holman Brad Lowton and maybe Vlaar not bad is it lol unreal UTV!!

Welcome back Brad....
Pride of Lions
He should have been our number one last season. I can only think of once or twice where he got his chance and made a mistake. Every other time he has been majestic. Welcome back!
