A New Villa Star Is Born? Karim El Amadi

Some interesting posts on Villa new boy Karim El Amadi by both James Nursey (The Mirror) and Mat Kendrick (The Birmingham Mail)

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
This Karim El Amadi really looks the business I must say. Think Premier League fans should look out for him this season for #AVFC

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
Karim El Ahmadi looks decent. Lambert just instructed the #AVFCmidfield anchorman to switch play from 'side to side' to boss game

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Karim El Ahmadi seems to have a crispness about his passing. Looking to receive the ball and move it on quickly. So far, so good from him

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
I know it's only a friendly against lower league opposition, but I do like the look of El Ahmadi. Energy, quick feet - simple, but effective

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
Been impressed with initial touch/passing from new #AVFC midfielder El Ahmadi who just tested keeper from outside area. Burton 1-0#AVFC

at half time ...

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
impressive Karim El Ahmadi the undoubted star of show

I know it's only Burton but he looked a real player. Composed on the ball, excellent control, can win a tackle and doesn't give the ball away cheaply.

Holman in the second half looked very useful too, not to mention Barry Bannan and Gary G. Encouraging start.

Man of the match for sure (well, man of the half). Not phased on the ball, doesnt panic and seems to put 'backspin' on a lot of his passes? I know one thing from today, we need a striker, we didnt create many chances, loads of possession. I did notice one major factor, the fans, loads of smiles today and they seemed to appreciate the football that was played, even if we still will "never score from a corner" :)
