Interesting Tweets From The Mirror's James Nursey

Got a few snippets from James Nursey on his twitter account:

@jamesnursey

Got impression no big spending spree at‪#AVFC‬ on cards but more shrewd slightly under-radar signings due when Huts, Collins & War prob go

Think can also rule out Bosman defender Zak Whitbread (ex - ‪#NCFC‬) going to ‪#AVFC‬ as Zak still got no club & Lambert not made any contact

Hear a striker on loan for ‪#AVFC‬ also possible later in summer as club planning to keep Gabby, Bent and Weimann.

Further to last ‪#AVFC‬ transfer tip, as now been 3 in, likely we'll see exits (eg Hutton, Collins, Warnock) before more new players arrive

Re: ‪#AVFC‬ , told no more arrivals likely before US tour squad departs.
But definite shake up on cards with future ins & outs being lined up

**********

So there you go. Must admit, I thought a major shake up was on the cards, not all the kids will break through and some aren`t quite ready. Still, time will tell!

It makes sense to ship one or two out as he have three new signings, but surely the three are only replacing the three we released. So currently we have a net gain of 0 as faras numbers are concerned. Still, I suppose PL wishes to see some of them in action before he pulls the lever and gets on with replacing them. Mind you, I'm sure he'd get a couple more in then release others..... anyway, whatever, I have complete faith in PL.

James Nursery Rhymes ........ total load of crap comes pouring out of his mouth yet again ....... he is just tweeting educated guesses and stuff we already know as usual, Lambert has already told us that there will be ins and outs before the season gets under way.

Shane Long please. Quality MF / attackingMF. Rodallega has gone to Fulham thank McGrath! Got a feeling we'll only bring in two more players. A defender a d a striker.

PL will definitely have to offload 2 or 3 before he begins serious surgery of the team. Most journalists will be tweeting common sense guesses at this stage. There does seem to be an air of fans being happy to just let Lambert get on with it. No panic yet. It's a bit like waiting to open your Christmas presents, in terms of seeing what the Villa team will be like come the kick off against West Ham. UTV

Look at the players on the US tour, who have not been a motivated bunch the last few years, see whats what and then go from there, makes sound management, given to play with more freedom and in attacking style some of the players we already have might shine. Just have great faith in PL and his back room staff.

Fair comment Eddy but if Dunne is still at the club for the start of the season I'll be very disappointed.

Fingers crossed, must admit thought there would be more than 'tweaking' but until the transfer window closes, who knows?!

Lambert sat down with the whole squad a few days ago and made his introductions. He asked why they did so poorly last season and the general response was the systems employed by the previous manager. Lambert told them all this was 'bullocks' and that he would not be accepting any excuses on his watch. He then proceeded to lay into Delph, Herd and Collins about the nightclub fracas last season. Collins especially got a dressing down and was asked in an open forum why everytime something wrong happens at the club he seems to be involved? The impression I got was that the situation was addressed, answered and the book closed. Collins has no more chances. It may be that this attitude may give us back the defender we thought we had a couple of years ago. He bought everything into the open, then laid down his vision for what he is expects and the minimum standards required of anybody representing Aston Villa. I am reliably informed (by someone who was there) that he made his mark, everybody knows exactly who is in charge, what is expected of them and most importantly, that they have all to a man bought into the Paul Lambert way of working. The quote was 'we are all buzzing'. So whilst there may be a couple of players in and out, the conversation I had makes me confident enough to go and put £100 at 16/1 on Villa finishing in the top 6 next season. UTV. The 19th Minute.

!!!!!! If that's true VOTH then I've got tremendous respect for PL and I'm sure the players won't be able not to have also. Something that GH and Eck were incapable of doing and was much needed. A united dressing room at last. PL's claret and blue army....

Villan444. After all the inside information provided over the years are you doubting the word of the 'voth' lol? And yes it is all true. To a word.
