Bent Will Be Huge For Lambert

Paul Lambert has said that Darren Bent will be absolutely huge for Villa this season as he tips the striker to have a stormer!

Speaking to the Official Site after holding his first few training sessions with the lads, Lambert said that Darren's goalscoring record makes him a dream to work with and he's expecting big things from him now he has recovered from his ankle injury.

'Darren will be huge, absolutely huge. He's a goalscorer, every team needs them. You can't just rely on one guy to score, but his influence a the club is huge as a result of what he has done up to now. His goalscoring career is phenomenal. It's a big plus to have him fit.'

Certainly going to be interesting to see how Lambert lines up the team and how he sets us up to suit Bent's strengths. Maybe of more interest for folks is how he uses Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann as well.

Will we go two upfront, or will they be alternated?

Don't blame me I've got a headache!

Problem is, he can't do it all himself. Hopefully Weimann can step up for regular first team action as I strongly doubt Gabby... he's ok in a 100mtrs sprint, but for 1500mtrs forget it!

lol sorry Mike, it made me laugh when I first saw it, everything is an innuendo to me, I thought it was intentional!

I can neither confirm nor deny which headlines may be deliberate lol

Pride you're absolutely right about Gab. It's this season or never - man or boy - success or Vassel! Swap for Victor Moses please!!!!
