'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Holman Has Lambert Backing

Paul Lambert has said that Brett Holman was probably a little worried when we changed managers, but he's looking forward to working with him.

Speaking to the Official Site following our opening day of training, Lambert said he had been impressed with Holman and he's looking for him to add some fresh impetus into the team:

'I have come in at a time when he's probably feeling a little bit of trepidation. I have watched little clips and he's a good footballer. Hopefully he does well here and we get the best out of him, he will bring fresh impetus and I'm looking forward to seeing him play.'

If he was feeling a little worried after the departure of Eck, I'd imagine the club involving him so much in things like the kit launch would certainly allay any fears that he wouldn't play a part under Lambert.

Any body else getting excited yet!

Had to laugh at that. Holman worried about the change of managers??? He is probably thinking 'result, I have got a chance of playing in the goal scoring end of the pitch now'!!!! Strange that of all the managerial appointments and opportunities about recently, our previous manager hasn't been mentioned for any of them. How come Andy Gray, Stan Collymore and Chewalot who kept singing his praises up until the end off the season haven't been as vocal to recommend him for any of the number of jobs around??? Mmm I wonder . . . . .

agreed voice, can;t see it would bother him and especially if he read just a few fans comments!
