The Birmingham Mail say that Villa are keen on Sheffield United right-back Matthew Lowton.

The report claims he is the sort of player that will fit what Lambert wants 'highly rated, young and hungry`... Sounds perfect, assemble a team of players wanting to prove themselves and proud to be at a great club like Aston Villa!

Wiki says: Matthew John Lowton (born 9 June 1989 in Chesterfield, England) is an English footballer, who plays for English side Sheffield United. He plays as a right-back, but can also operate at centre-back, central midfield and as a right-midfielder.

Blades official site says: "A local lad and a product of the Blades Academy, Matt signed a new long-term contract with the Blades in the summer of 2011. The Mail also say that Alan Hutton has not been transfer listed but is under pressure.
