At last! A game 15 mins from home. Good news. Remember the last game at Chester 30 or so years ago, if I remember rightly Big Dave Simmonds was at centre forward. Guess this will be mostly the kids, but good to see them here nontheless.

Would be appreciated Danny, XI games aren't usually well reported so anything is gratefully received mate.

Gordons LB, I remember that game too - but there was a much more recent one at the Diva Stadium in 1999-2000 when Peter Enkelman was in goal for Villa (and having an off day) when we scraped a lucky 1 0 win after being awful most of the game and being outplayed. Tony Daley was there too - he signed my programme at half time. Tommy Docherty's Villa first round League Cup game at Chester, was at Sealand Road 1968-9, with the league cup semi-final tussle a few years later.

My dogs' name is Chester. Thought it was a good name for a Labrador.
