Important News - Marshall Returns to Villa

According to Birmingham Mail reporter Mat Kendrick, legendary Aston Villa goalkeeper Andy Marshall has signed a new one-year contract extension.

Marshall was a free signing way back in 2009 having not had his contract renewed at our Championship locals Coventry City and this season went on to equal his record of first team appearances at Villa, with none.

At the end of the 2009/10 season Marshall did leave Villa Park, however after an unsuccessful trial at Charlton Athletic, returned to 3rd choice goalkeeper duties under Martin O`Neill.

The 37-year-old has managed half a game playing for the first team, coming on for Shay Given in the pre-season friendly against Walsall.

Rumour has it Vital Villa have banned me from showing the real face of our elusive third choice goalkeeper, so here is my artists impression.

Admit it, you love that picture!
The Fear
Must admit JF I need to do a new one as the sponsor is incorrect and indeed, colour is slightly too bright green.

The irony is Marshalls still achieved more that Heskey did.
