'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Siegrist Seeks Olympic Glory

With our players being systematically overlooked by Stuart Pearce for the England team, I'll be following Switzerland in London 2012.

Is London 2012 copyrighted, are bad men going to come and sue me for the mere promotion of the tournament the taxpayer has pumped millions into?

Oh look a torch...how delightful.

Anyway, our highly rated second string goalkeeper has made the final 18 of the Swiss team, and should he get the chance, it'll be interesting to see how he does.

Not sure if the Ollies have a similar award, but many may remember that in the recent past at the World U17 Cup, Benji walked away with the Golden Gloves award after being picked as the tournaments best goalkeeper.

He's progressed nicely into the U21 side for the Swiss, so fingers crossed he gets some pitch time as for many Vital Villans it might be your first sight of him between the sticks.

I'll be watching. Pierce didn't like Villa players in his u21's side either

Hope he gets some game time, it would be a good experience for him. Perhaps it will give PL a chance to see him in action to make up his mind if Benji can take the No2 goalie shirt.

Pierce has proved that he is his own man. Leaving out David 'It's all about Me' Beckham was a brave move. he'll probably -- if there is any justice -- be a future (full time) England manager.

Nah, we won't go far in this tournament. See us going out early. Pearce is a pretty average manager/coach from his track record, and he has some pretty average players at his disposal.
