Marc Albrighton has admitted that he has an 'absolutely huge' season ahead of him as he looks to impress Paul Lambert. Speaking to the Official Site Albrighton explained that with him sitting out the two clashes last season against Norwich, that he has to take his opportunity to impress the new boss and to be fair, he needs to show he can kick on and become more consistent in the eyes of the fans. With the transfer window officially opening, seems as good a time as any to investigate the strange match day rituals of Vital Villans. And some of them - if genuine - are very strange indeed. Article: Match Day Rituals - We Have Some Strange Members

Proud to be a Villan: So the transfer window is open, and is greeted with the usual excitement and anticipation that it is every season. It's likely that Villa will release Wolves from their pre season friendly obligation to enable them to face Aldershot in the first round of the Capital One Cup. Wolves are hoping to face Aldershot at the Molineux on August 11, and with Aldershot agreeing, they have contacted us for permission to cancel the friendly. Confirmation will no doubt come tomorrow when business opens again. It's unknown if we will schedule another pre season fixture to fill the gap.

Mat Kendrick has an article at www.birminghammail.net saying that there is a shake up of the Scouting system in process. Our head of scouting Paul Montgomery will be leaving along with Glenn Roeder (who I thought was head!) and another scout called Artur Numan. Full article: Scouting Overhaul + Culverhouse Incoming?
