Dream Come True For El Ahmadi

Dream Come True For El Ahmadi

A few more quotes from the press conference, and our new midfielder also talks a little bit about Brett Holman.

Speaking to the Official Site as Karim was announced, the Moroccan said:

'This club should be competing in the top half of the table and I am looking forward to achieving that. It was always a dream of mine to play in the Premier League, I came to the club and spoke to the people here and they gave me great confidence in what we can do this year, so I have chosen to come.'

As for Brett Holman, the 27 year old also added:

'I've played against Brett a lot of times, not only when he was at AZ but when he was younger he played at Feyenoord. He's a great player and it's good for him, too, to come to a club like this and to make a step up. In Holland he showed his quality and now it's good to have him next to me. He never gives up, I don't think I ever saw him standing still on the pitch.'

Another good, positive outlook on Holman there, so at least on the face of things, with El Ahmadi also talking about him wanting to dictate the game from the middle of the park like he did in Dutchland, that our midfield will definitely be stronger than last campaign.

Heard anything about the link to Yacine Brahimi? Rumours he has handed a transfer request in at Rennes. Flair central/wide player I gather. Newcastle fans likened him to Ben Arfa. Evidently some Frenh newspapers are linking him with Villa. Just wondered if anyone knew if any truth in this or just rumour?

You beat to thsi post krfeskivilla. I received a copy of report from a French newspaper, which seems to say that Villa are looking to sign him on loan with a view to a possible permanent signing. I have to say though that my understadning of French is very rudimentary.
