Wolves v Villa Friendly Off?

Wolves v Villa Friendly Off?

It's likely that Villa will release Wolves from their pre season friendly obligation to enable them to face Aldershot in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

Wolves are hoping to face Aldershot at the Molineux on August 11, and with Aldershot agreeing, they have contacted us for permission to cancel the friendly.

Confirmation will no doubt come tomorrow when business opens again.

It's unknown if we will schedule another pre season fixture to fill the gap.

If they knew they would be playing in the cup that week, why arrange a friendly in the first place?
