Villa Linked With Czech Midfielder?

We are feeding off scraps right now. I`m sure as players start to return from their holidays and into pre-season at the start of July we`ll get more action and if not, at least some more press transfer talk!

Setanta say that Villa are looking at Bordeaux`s Czech international midfielder Jaroslav Plasil.

Not convinced, as the guy is 30. Surely if we are building for the future, we`ll be going younger than that?

Apparently Sevilla are also interested and looking to bid Ł2.6 million.

I know nothing about him I'll be honest and to be fair, he has too much hair for my liking, if you aren't bald then you aren't to be trusted is my personal opinion!

Anyone know owt about him?!?

presumably we are in need of the ubiquitous Midfield General and 30 is ok for someone in that mould for a couple of years until GG makes the grade.........., yes/no?

Exactly john. We need an experienced midfielder to replace stan. We cant buy ONLY young players. That would not be clever

I'd love to see us take on Steven N'Zonzi, he's got a great range of passing, he's mobile, he's fairly big, which is a change to our crop of pigmys from the acadamy, he's got decent vision, he'd be cheap, he's young. What's not to like?

Absolutely agree, we need a bit of experience there.....

I agree with Lorenzo, always liked N'Zonzi. Makes no sense for us to buy 22 year old players like Naughton etc. We have a bunch of academy players, we need experienced players who want to play in the PL.
