Is Martin Laursen Coming Home?

This has just been tweeted:

Former Aston Villa defender Martin Laursen resigns as coach for the club BSV (Sollerod-Vedbaek). #avfc

Thanks to Lee Lindsay for texting it.

So, with coach spaces very much available, are we putting 2+2 and coming up with the answer we want or is Martin Laursen coming back to Villa?

He did say recently he isn't ready for the top job yet but he would love to manage Villa one day.

Maybe this is the first step?

Bold move if true and whilst I'd love to see him here and learn the role from Lambert, I sadly think this is a bit of wishful thinking. But I'd love to be wrong!
mike_field
Yes please! Legend and future Manager.
P.Avfc
Yes please, get him bedded in now !
The Fear
Never going to happen. But I like all other Villa fans hope I am proved wrong
Tallaght Villan
He can sit with me if he wants TH!
The Fear
Just can't see it happening. Surly PL will bring in Cluverhouse and Karsa as his coaching staff.....Is there any room for Martin?
Thomas Holte
He's still only 34, get him back in in a playing capacity!! :D
VillaHippo
Must say it would a stroke of genius by Paul Lambert or someone at the club to bring him in. After the last year of fighting with the fans and the lack of support to bring in someone like Laursen even just to get the fans back on side would be very clever.
Tallaght Villan
Laursen was the manager of BK Søllerød-Vedbæk, so not 'coach' in the way we use the word. I'd be surprised if he joined the Villa coaching team, unless it was as assistant manager. Even then, I imagine it's very unlikely. His future is in management, not coaching.
monsters
Maybe he's going to Swansea with Michael Laudrup. But I hope not.
Stephen Jay Hawkings
You know, it would still please me if he did go to Swansea, at least he'd be around the English league again, and still plenty of time for him to come to us in the future. One of my all time favorite Villa players. He'd have to take the week off for the matches against us though..
azreal13
Defensive coach maybe?
godzvilla
Laursen's injury possibly cost Villa a place in the Champions League. He was that influential. Would love to see him back at the Villa.
VillaWillRiseAgain
Btw, slightly off topic but what a difference one appointment and a few weeks makes. Feel the mood around Villa at the moment. Consider Spuds and Redknapp, too. Shadenfreude? You betcha!
VillaWillRiseAgain
Oh please let this be true, i will be over the moon, LionHeart would sort our defence out, or assistant manager would be great but im a bit scepticul and will not get too overecited until we know more!
ClivetheVillan
Yep, would be brilliant. Seems strange he's resigned from his post..... I wonder?....
Pride of Lions
A brilliant player when fit, loves the club. Would be great to see him back. A legend, but not much experience yet as a coach. He could be a huge influence in the dressing room. Interesting.
Madirish
I'd love him back at villa park and am convinced he will manage us one day. I follow his sides results to see how his career is progressing. They are on a 9 game unbeaten run so I would be very surprised if he has resigned unless he has had a fall out with the chairman. Would he want a coaching role? I get the impression his heart is set on management. Of course I'd love him as part of our back room staff but keep gaining the experience as a manager Martin, the jobs yours when your ready.
Lion Heart
I will not let myself get carried away, ''HE'S COMING HOME HE'S COMING HOME HE'S COMING, LIONHEARTS COMING HOME''
ClivetheVillan
Big IF here, I'm only saying because I'm thinking what managerial vacancies are currently open atm, what would be your opinion if he took over the Bluenoses?
VillaHippo
I'd prefer he comes back only as manager in a few years. He was managing at a very low level and hopefully is moving on to a bigger challenge in Denmark. Lambert doesn't need him now our positive focus already exists.
thekentvillan
I wish it would be true
andy3221
Get him! He could learn a lot under Lambert and keep the young boys in check
AdzVilla11
Wouldn't it be great if he was bought in as an asistant to PL, A little too soon I fear Fear
