Would You Let Stephen Ireland Leave Villa?

Following todays link in the press saying Stephen Ireland will be sold if a bid of £4million comes in, we have a simple poll question (right hand side bottom of page):

Would you let Stephen Ireland go?

Ireland action

He's certainly been a mixed bag since joining us from Manchester City. Mercurial character really, but do you not get the feeling with the right manager he could be great for us? In glimpses he's looked very good and did win a lot of the man of the match votes last season?

Or are we best shot as he does seem to blow so hot and cold?

Think I'd rather he stayed and we got the best out of him UNLESS we have a decent playing incoming who would do a better job with less baggage obviously!

To let him leave as soon as good manager comes in that plays good football would be a bit silly. I think next season could really be his season.

£4m??? He's worth a lot more than that! Personally think he should stay, as last season he was our best player, and that was with a crap manager. I'd also go along with whatever Lamber decides, as i'm backing the manager =)

Keep him, think Lambert will get the best out of him.Not sure how long he has left on his contract but would sooner see if he can do it with Lamberts attacking football,if not sell in January.

I'd keep him if he took a pay cut, but that wasn't an option.

All players blow hot and cold. In a season of pure dross last year he was one player that did show some spark. There are many other players that should be shown the front door, other than Mr Ireland. And 4m is an absolute joke. UTV

I would keep him. At times last season he looked something like the player we know he can be. However,he needs to bring consistency into his game He might excel under PL so it would be silly to get rid until we see how he they get on together at Villa Park.
