Ajax Midfielder Linked - Sort Of!

Ajax Midfielder Linked - Sort Of!

Following on from this mornings press transfer talk: Four Players Linked! AVFC Press Transfer Talk

I`ve just noticed another link, this time in The People who sort of link us to a player!!!!

They say that 23-year-old Ajax midfielder Vurnon Anita is wanted by Newcastle but was also a target for Paul Lambert when he was Norwich boss.

His agent Harry Lulofs says the Magpies have put in an offer and that Vurnon would also consider a move to Villa.

'Ajax are very satisfied with the guy and want to keep him, but Newcastle have been watching him for a long time and really want to sign him. This is the first offer Ajax have received for Vurnon and we'll soon see how they react.'

Adding, 'The only other Premier League club to get in touch was Norwich. Paul Lambert called me to ask about him. Now he has moved to Aston Villa so maybe they will be in touch. I don't know.'

As said, a sort of link!

Sky Sports claim former Villa defender Carlos Cuellar might be on his way to Olympiakos. They also say he`s had talks with Sunderland.

Another that I must admit I couldn`t give a care about links Emile Heskey to Hull City to team back up with Steve Bruce. Forum thread: Click Here

Reading Wikipedia, I noticed he's only 5ft 6 tall. We have enough short players in the squad, it's about time we got some taller ones out there.
