Moses & Holt? Press Villa Transfer Talk

Moses & Holt? Press Villa Transfer Talk

Setanta say Villa are looking to return to Wigan for a second summer in a row. This time for Victor Moses.

Apparently Moses is in the last year of his deal and his agent has said he won`t be signing a new one. So I guess the club will have to look to cash in now?

QPR are also said to be interested.

Wiki says: Victor Moses (born 12 December 1990) is a footballer who plays for Wigan Athletic. Moses can play in a variety of positions, but in the first-team games he has taken part in so far, Moses has mostly played as a left winger. Born in Nigeria, he has represented England at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels, but opted to play for the Nigerian national football team as opposed to being fully capped at the English level. The Daily Star have the older link to Norwich striker Grant Holt. The report says Villa`s new boss Paul Lambert knows he might have to pay over the odds for the player but still thinks he`d be a good fit for us. The paper claim that, despite West Ham having a £4m (ish depending on the paper you read!) bid turned down, that Norwich will struggle to refuse £4.5m for the 31 year old.

Some reports are suggesting that we won`t get Paul Lambert`s usual assistant Ian Culverhouse but this report insists he is certain to come. There is also this link: Click Here which illustrates Ian`s contract runs out with Norwich at the end of this month. Forum thread on Culverhouse: Click Here

The only other snippet I saw via the official sites press run down, The Sun say that Reading are favourites to land Brighton and Hove Albion's Liam Bridcutt with both Villa and Fulham also interested in the 23-year old midfielder.

I'd love Moses at VP, but I absolutely can't stand Whelan and his ridiculous statements to Sky Sports news. No doubt he'd be giving it the biggun if Villa were to approach Moses.
