Mini Transfer Rumours

Mini Transfer Rumours

Not a lot from the looks of things today but the press are really amping up Norwich links with the news that Lambert will be officially unveiled on Wednesday.

Dealing with the already mentioned Alan Thompson link following his shock departure from Celtic, the papers are still full of the speculation that he will be offered a coaching role back at B6.

That said the accuracy of these reports may be reflected by a number of outlets thinking Lambert will be announced on Tuesday. Salt, shovel comes to mind.

However at least this time it's being speculated that Thompson will be in addition to Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa, and not instead of Culverhouse.

In player news the Grant Holt links aren't going anywhere, and I wouldn't expect anything less given the papers haven't a clue what's going on, but the Daily Mail is suggesting that we are close to a £4m deal for the 31 year striker.

Norwich have already dismissed stories that West Ham had a £4.5m offer turned down, but that doesn't stop the immigration friendly paper from repeating it, instead they spin that since then he has handed in a transfer request so Norwich may be more open to that sort of offer.

As par for the course, the Mail also suggest that it would open the way for Gabby Agbonlahor to rejoin Martin O'Neill at Sunderland.

As you can see every transfer window from JF's extensive 'which links turned out to be utter poo' list, I'd neither celebrate too loudly with these links or allow yourself to sink into a depression.

Let it wash over you until we see somebody in the pitch and on the shirt...or whatever that phrase is.

I tend to refer to the Daily Mail as the "utter poo" paper so it seemed rather apt.

I'm always dubious of the Daily Mail comments from local lad and bluenose, Neil Moxley.

With Moxley you usually get quotes so I tend to trust him despite his employers, this spec wasn't by him either M5.
