Russell Martin has backed his former boss to be a success at Villa Park after praising what he achieved at Norwich. Speaking to Talksport following the official appointment of Paul Lambert to the Villa hotseat, the Norwich defender said of his former boss: 'I don't think you can emphasise enough how good he has been for the club and the players as individuals. He's a great manager and I'm sure he'll do well wherever he goes. He's a very intelligent man manager, he leaves the coaching to his assistant and coaches most of the time, and just keeps an eye on things.' Full article: Former Player Backs Lambert To Succeed

Plenty of Villa old boys out today praising the arrival of Paul Lambert: Tony Daley has told www.dailystar.co.uk 'Aston Villa are one of the big clubs in England with a superb ground, a brilliant fan base and a rich history.
