Alan Thompson? Doubt It - Ian Culverhouse Likely!

Are people putting 2+2 together and coming up with Alan Thompson to Villa?! Or back to Villa should I say?!

You will probably have seen in the press already, the former Villa player, who had been assistant coach at Celtic, has been sacked.

I`m not totally sure why that makes him a target for Villa! For instance: www.dailyrecord.co.uk amongst others report he has been sacked for his 'lifestyle`.

The link to Villa? Well, he played for us and he used to play with Paul Lambert!

Not saying it is impossible, I have no idea to be fair, but I would expect our new manager (sounds good doesn`t it?) to go back in for Ian Culverhouse who has been with him since his Wycombe days.

Most likely a non story this I think!

The situation is just like last year: manager resigns, staff don't. Sort out manager regarding compensation issues/ legal wrangling then sort out assistants. I agree it looks like Culverhouse not Thomson.

Yep, agreed. I'd expect it to be Culverhouse not Thompson.
