Would guess that the links to the older players whilst McLeish will be binned now, you never know though. Wouldn't mind Holt, would like Pilkington from Norwich. Daniel Sturridge if he won't sign a new deal at Chelsea? He is on his last year of deal I think. He is a villa fan!

Certainly expect a good few in and out.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to start another one to coincide with the beginning of the PL era?

I'd still like to see us take a punt on younger players from lower leagues. Do something like a fixed fee first refusal deal, have them stay at the club for a season so we can watch the properly, but when fixtures allow they come up to Bodymoor to train with us on occassions and then those that look useful we can take up the option on, those that don't develop as we hoped we haven't lost a lot of cash on.

Players in i'd look at - Oscar Cardozo, Daniel Sturridge, Moussa Dembele, Jordan Rhodes, Demba Ba, Victor Moses, Niko Kranjcar, Giovanni Dos Santos, Adam Johnson, Matt Jarvis, Ibrahim Afellay, Nathanial Clyne. A pretty long list, and i'm thinking big with a few of them, but hey who knows! I have no idea who i'd want to bring in to replace Dunne/Collins though.

I want us to go for Markus Henriksen of Norway, maybe have a crack at Bacinovic which was linked to Villa earlier in the season. Key for me would be to maybe invest in cheaper foreign options which would demand less wages, and give the same performance.

Guys, I'd love to see Charlie Adams come here and reinvent himself, adding Steven Fletcher or Jordan Rhodes would be excellent....If Rhodes would come and mature throughout a nice four year contract I believe we wouldhave a gem who already has the touch far above one of our hero status strikers....Fletcher is proven in a poor Wolves squad but I can't split him from Holt who Lambert already knows how to use. Krancjar is just after money so now it's a no-no from me - wrong motivation for what we're about to go through over the next few seasons. Dembele is a great shout too. Either way we must insert a few proper LEADERS into midfield - desperately need a leader or two after the brave Petrov battles away.

Defenders? My shout goes out to Olsson from West Brom and Hangelaand from Fulham. £5m for Olsson and £6m for Alfie.
