Vital Norwich Coverage On Paul Lambert Exit

Some pretty decent Paul Lambert coverage on Vital Norwich

Jack Phillips has a great article, Lambert Leaves Us With Great Memories where he says:

"Paul Lambert revived the club and has raised us to a point I never thought we`d reach again. We`ve played attractive football, got big wins and signed fantastic players. I don`t turn up to a game thinking 'how many are we going to concede this week?' I turn up to games thinking 'we can win this!'

Adding "One of Norwich`s greatest managers, a hall of fame member and when he does leave he`ll be fondly remembered."

Savvy Monkey looks at Why we had to let Lambert go

Nick Sellers has an article Thank you Paul Lambert, but what next? where he says:

"And so the Lambert era ends. Gone are the ill fitting tracksuits which he had to tuck into his socks. Gone are the menacing glares he would give to reporters at press conferences. Gone are the occasions where he'll pick up a microphone in front of the crowd and repeatedly ask 'Can I just have two minutes! Two minutes of your time!'

Gone, but never forgotten. But it does beg the question: What happens now?

Aston Villa, if the reports are correct, are getting a top manager. While Villa will move forward, we have to make sure as a club we do the same."

And Jack Phillips returns with the best title going! Calm Down Dear - There's Life After Lambert

He says:

"Many are questioning the fact that he is a derisory fifth or sixth choice. Probably not true. There were some saying Lambert and his 'representatives` (whoever, and whatever they are) had spoken to Randy Lerner and his 'representatives` (WaWTA) over two weeks ago. They were then presumably rebuffed by McNally and co., and they would have wanted to ensure they had options if Lambert fell through. Hence the speaking to Ole Gunnar and Martinez. We can`t really grumble too much about them tapping him up, he wouldn`t be here at all if we hadn`t.

So too are Villa a bigger club than us. While we were scrapping and sliding our way into League One, Villa were consistently in and around the European places. They spent more on one player than our squad is worth. Randy Lerner will have learnt from this McLeish season too; he will need to back the manager a bit more, just not as much as O`Neill unreasonably wanted. It is a good job to build up and it is a step up, no matter what we like to think."

They aren`t quite so happy with us in their forum and I can understand that, why would they be happy? We wouldn`t be. I think many - including a hell of a lot of Villa fans - have forgotten the size of Villa. It is time to remind people, maybe Paul Lambert will prove to be the man to do that.

In the meantime, good luck to Norwich City, one of my all time favourite games was against them, they even beat us, but standing in the Holte End watching a stunning end to end game stuck in my very poor memory. 3-2 to the visitors was the result!

I think Vital Norwich have done themselves proud in their coverage, makes me proud of the network ... !

I am much more excited now than at this point last year. It will be interesting to see which players Lambert will keep and which players he will go after.

An interesting read there. Yep, if Lerner can back Lambo, then we should be having a good season. Don't forget, we already have Holman coming to us.
Pride of Lions
Great read, i have massive respect for Nozza fans, they are passionate fans about Norwich and that game at VP was a good game indeed nail biting for us in the end i was on the edge of my seat lol but i do hope they get a good manager as they have been a breath of fresh air to the orem League... And this network site is the best no doubt, clicking on Vital Villa i do it in my sleep now lol its the first thing i do wheni get up and throughout the day we are lucky to have blokes like Fear Mike and the moderators who for me did an amazing job in keeping things positive even through last season when we were all having a series of depressing thoughts lol they do a great job, luv this site!
ClivetheVillan
Great piece of work from Mr Lerner, I have to hold my hand up you've done us proud, now put the money on the table and lets put us back were we belong on top of the premier league! ok maybe top is a little wishful thinking but top 6 will do fine.
